Change Object Order
Changes the order of the overlapped objects.
Change the order of the overlapped objects
To change the order of the overlapped objects:
- Click one of the overlapped objects.
- Do one of the following on Alignment of the Text Box and Shape task pane.
- To bring the selected object to the front of a group of overlapped objects, click the Bring to Front icon.
- To send the selected object to the back of a group of overlapped objects, click the Send to Back icon.
- To move the selected object one object forward, click the Bring Forward icon.
- To move the selected object one object backward Send Backward icon.
Align Object
Specifies the alignment or the space distribution between objects when multiple objects are selected.
Align multiple objects
To align the selected objects:
- Select multiple objects that you want to align.
- Do one of the following on the Shape sidebar.
- To align the edges of the objects to the left, click the Align Left icon.
- To align the objects vertically to the center, click the Align Center icon.
- To align the edges of the objects to the left, click the Align Right icon.
- To align the top edges of the objects, click the Align Top icon.
- To align the objects horizontally to the middle, click the Align Middle icon.
- To align the bottom edges of the objects, click the Align Bottom icon.
Change Object Properties
Changes the properties of the selected objects, for example, fill color, line type, line color, and so on.
Change the fill or line color
To change the fill or line color:
- Select an object to change its properties.
- Click the arrow icon on the Fill or Line color box and do one of the following:
- Select the desired color on the Theme tab.
- Mix your own color using the color spectrum on the Spectrum tab and then click OK. You can also enter the color code directly.
- Select the desired color on the Theme tab.
Change the transparency
To change the transparency of the object:
- Select an object to change its properties.
- Do one of the following:
- To change the transparency of the object background, adjust the value or enter the transparency value on the Transparency item for Fill.
- To change the transparency of the object line, adjust the value or enter the transparency value on the Transparency item for Line.
Group/Ungroup Object
Groups several shapes, pictures, or other objects into a single object, and then ungroups them later.
You can move or resize the grouped objects at the same time as if they were a single object.
Group multiple objects
To group multiple objects:
- Drag and release the mouse to select all objects within the dragging area. All objects are selected.
- Click the Group icon on the Several Objects task pane. The grouped object is movable as a single object.
Ungroup grouped objects
To ungroup an object which is grouped with two or more objects:
- Select an object to ungroup.
- Click the Ungroup icon on the Several Objects task pane. All shapes are ungrouped into multiple shapes.
