Word processor basics
Thinkfree Office Word enables you to read, edit, create a Word document using a web browser. Regardless of PC environment, you can view and edit your document using a web browser whenever and wherever you are. You can also co-edit your document in a real time to manage your document quickly and effectively. The adaptive UI and various editing features enhance your productivity and performance.
Copy
Copies the selected content to the clipboard, and then inserts it to the desired location. If you click Copy, in contrast to the Cut feature, the selected content remains and is saved to the clipboard.
This feature is useful when you need to use the same content, such as text, table, picture, drawing object, text box, in several locations.
To copy a selection:
- Select the content you wish to copy.
- Press Ctrl+C or click on the toolbar icon
Paste
Pastes the cut or copied content stored in the clipboard to the desired location.
To paste the content which is copied or cut:
- Click the location where you want to paste the content which is copied or cut.
- Press Ctrl+V or click on the toolbar icon
Cut
Cuts the selected content, moves it to the clipboard, and then inserts it into the desired location.
This feature is useful when you want to move content, such as text, table, picture, form field, to another location.
To cut a selection:
- Select the content you wish to cut.
- Press Ctrl+X or click on the toolbar icon
Copy Format
Copy Format copies the font, paragraph format, and style at the pointer to another position.
This function is useful when you repeat specific styles.
You can copy the formats rather than choosing them one by one.
To copy the format:
- Place a cursor between words whose formatting you want to copy.
- Click Edit-Copy Format or click on the toolbar icon or ctrl+shift+c (cmd+shift+c on Mac).
- Select the target text or paragraph as a block. The formatting is applied to the target text.
Clear Format
Clear Format clears all formattings such as bold, italics, underlines and more that you have applied additionally and return text to its default formatting styles.
To clear all the styles, text effects, and formatting that you have applied additionally:
- Select the target text as a block.
- Click the Edit-Clear Format or click on the toolbar icon
This feature is useful when you want to return the selected text to its default style without using Undo several times.
Undo
You can revert back from completed actions in the process of document editing by canceling the previous command, deleting typed content, or retrieving deleted content.
- Type text in the document on the edit screen or edit the document.
- Do one of the following.
- Click the Undo icon on the toolbar.
- Click Edit-Undo.
This feature is useful when you wish to undo your mistake or when you wish to reverse the document to its previous state. If there are no more actions to be undone, the Undo menu will be disabled.
Redo
You can redo commands or actions canceled by clicking Undo.
- Type text in the document on the edit screen or edit the document.
- Do one of the following.
- Click the Redo icon on the toolbar.
- Click Edit-Redo.
When you undo one or more actions and then edit other contents of the document, the Redo feature is disabled so that you cannot redo the action which has been previously canceled.
